Cosmopolitan magazine’s book editor stopped by the Today show last week to pick the top 10 books for spring. Nudge made the list as the only non-fiction book. Kathie Lee Gifford didn’t seem too interested. Ouch! (The video has been taken down from its original site, but here is another link. Nudge part starts at about 3:35.)

Sour grapes?

Ah…she just likes to talk about herself and like Curt said sour grapes.
My rule of thumb is we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover or magazine ratings. Judge it by Amazon reviews and there is tons of great thing said about “Nudge”. Also, as far as sales rank (on Amazon) goes “Nudge” comes in at #134 and “Just When I Thought I’d Dropped My Last Egg: Life and Other Calamities” comes in at #954, so i guess there is reason to be sour.

Ouch. Maybe that was her automatic system kicking in? 🙂

As usual, poor observation leads to incorrect conclusions;
Note that no negative comment was made about Nudge, just replacement by Gifford’s book, in a rather puerile way.
Gifford was only cheesed that they did not include her book in the top 10 and ANY other book that had been last, as Nudge was, would have received the same treatment!
Maybe the nudgeblog staff need a little “nudge mechanism” to think FIRST, and shoot-from-the-lip later?
